Gail McKenzie always knew she wanted to make a difference. Previously working as a care home inspector, she saw the other side of the voluntary sector and knew she had to help. Gail started working at Elmbridge in 2002 part-time and twenty years later she’s still serving the community here.
Currently she is our Voluntary Sector and Engagement Manager, which means she’s responsible for managing many of Elmbridge’s voluntary sector partnerships, as well as supporting our social prescribers. Gail is exceptionally proud of the network she cultivates and manages. With her expertise, she’s helped improve the lives of 1000s of Elmbridge residents. Not many people can say that!
Gail truly cares about helping our community. She describes herself and her team as motivated, caring and hungry (for more information). Gail works with multiple departments across the organisation and always encourages any new starters to learn about how other teams operate.
