Richard is our Facilities Manager, and we think it’s safe to say that he knows the Civic Centre inside and out! From electrical plans, to the AV equipment, to building security, Richard has a handle on it all.
Richard joined Elmbridge seven years ago as a Civic Attendant, making sure meeting rooms were set up, flags were raised, and the cleaning team had access where needed.
When the opportunity came up to apply for the Facilities Manager role, Richard was in an ideal position to apply, demonstrating how his knowledge and experience could transfer across to facilities management. Thankfully for all of us he is fully immersed in the role, embracing new challenges and also making sure he takes the time to attend courses such as a a recent three day iOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety & Health) managing safely course.
Richard recently received an Employee Value Award for his support and commitment to colleagues.
