You can apply for a grant of up to 50% of the eligible costs, up to a maximum of £1,000. Applicants are expected to fund at least 50% of each item as part of the project costs.
The fund is only available to businesses that are looking to set up within Elmbridge, are not taking over an existing business or have set up in Elmbridge within the last 6 months.

Information to include with the application
In addition to a completed application form, you will need:
- 2 comparable quotes per element you are applying for (only UK based suppliers can be considered)
- a business plan or proposal (including a 24-month financial forecast) - the Prince's Trust has a useful template: Prince's Trust: business plans and templates
- a sustainability plan section in your business plan - The Carbon Trust has practical tips for making your business environmentally friendly
Once completed, please send in your application form by post or email to business@elmbridge.gov.uk.
The scheme cannot provide funding towards items that have been purchased prior to the offer of a grant.

Your application will be subject to internal checks regarding business rate payment, food hygiene rating and licensing as applicable. All applications are assessed on an individual basis.
