A new Youth Hub is helping to get young people into employment or training and the apprenticeship levy pledge is supporting new apprentices.
Elmbridge and Runnymede Youth Hub
The Youth Hub is a partnership between Brooklands College, Elmbridge Borough Council and Runnymede Borough Council that provides expert support for young people aged 18 to 24 to get into employment or training.
Whether its getting a foot on the job ladder and securing your first role, finding out more about a new sector, matching the right course to your dream job - the Youth Hub experts are able to find the right opportunities to help.
The Youth Hub based at Brooklands College in Weybridge offers a one stop shop to help you with advice, work experience, mentoring and lots more.
Our unique partnership with the college and businesses can help you build your CV and access new roles or learning.
If you are interested in accessing the free support please email youthhub@brooklands.ac.uk with your name, age and location and the team will get in touch to follow up and see how they can help.
Elmbridge Apprenticeship levy pledge
Small and medium sized businesses in the borough can benefit from a skills boost with extra support to provide free training through apprenticeships.
The Transfer to Transform programme helps secure unutilised apprenticeship levy funds to support SMEs across Surrey.
Businesses in the borough can apply now for funding to cover 100% of apprenticeship training costs, allowing them to take on and train new staff, upskill an existing member of staff and open up new opportunities for residents.
Elmbridge has pledged to share some of our apprenticeship levy to help SMEs across the borough. The pledge will support up to 4 new apprentices each year and is available to businesses operating in the borough that are not currently subject to the Government’s Apprenticeship Levy.
Organisations from across Surrey have joined us in making the pledge. Visit the Apprenticeship Hub: Transfer to Transform to apply and see how your business could benefit from national and local apprenticeship support.
