Hate crimes are any crimes that are targeted at a person because of hostility or prejudice towards that person’s:
- disability
- race or ethnicity
- religion or belief
- sexual orientation
- transgender identity
Report hate crime
If you or anyone are affected by a hate crime, you should report it. By reporting these incidents, you may be able to prevent them happening to others and you will help the police understand the extent of the crime in the local area.
You can report in confidence:
