Key ECCAF funding areas
Applications for funding should cover one of the following categories:
- carbon emission reduction - education
- energy – reduce consumption and installation of low carbon or renewable forms of energy
- water – reduce water consumption
- waste – minimise waste, reduce, reuse and recycle
- biodiversity – increase biodiversity and wildlife in the borough
- active travel – promote cycle, walking, and public transport

Eligibility criteria
- Non-profit organisations or groups based in Elmbridge primarily focused on serving the residents of Elmbridge can apply. The organisation structures can include:
- charities
- sustainability focus community groups
- community organisations
- schools
- faith groups
- sports clubs/centres
- village halls
- Scouts/Girl Guides
- Applications must be received from the delivery organisation.
- Organisations must already be established and have a bank account in place under their name, as funds will be released into the bank account upon project completion should an applicant be successful in receiving funding.
- Applications must seek to create a new project that will reduce carbon emissions through at least one category of energy, water, waste, biodiversity or active travel.
- Other considerations - education, wellbeing, community involvement, and potential for long-term positive change.
Type of projects funded
The ECCAF grant can fund projects that create positive tangible outcomes focused on reducing carbon emissions.
You can apply for up to £5,000 toward your project.
Applications can be made for full or part funding of a project.

You will be asked to register by providing your name and email address. This lets you save your form and return to it later, without losing your progress.
