As we continue to promote the benefits of volunteering in Elmbridge, we hear how Jane’s volunteering has been a lifesaver for her.

"I am so happy that I finally decided to volunteer at my local Centre for the Community.  Since I lost my husband 4 years ago and then my best friend, only a few months ago, what had been my busy life had begun to 'shrink' and, especially with the onset of winter, I found myself with very little to fill my days. 

"I was made to feel extremely welcome at the Centre and quickly got to know staff, other volunteers and all the lovely folk who come to enjoy each other’s company on a daily basis.
