If you need to report a fallen, damaged or dangerous tree between 24 December 2024 and 2 January 2025, please check who is responsible for dealing with it before reporting.
Trees on highways
If a tree is on a highway verge, blocking a road or creating another emergency situation, Surrey Highways is responsible. Call the Surrey County Council Contact Centre on 0300 200 1003 or report a fallen tree online.
Trees on private land
If a tree is on private land (such as front or back garden), the owner of the land is responsible for the tree.
If the tree has fallen across the road, you can report to Surrey County Council Highways (details above).

Trees on Elmbridge land
Trees on Elmbridge Borough Council-owned land include trees in:
- cemeteries
- council-run car parks
- commons, heathland and countryside sites
- centres for the community
- open spaces, parks and recreation grounds
