Would you like to join thousands of small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) tackling climate change?
The SME Climate Hub is a non-profit global initiative that empowers small to medium sized businesses to take climate action and build resilient businesses for the future.
It sets out steps your company can take towards a more sustainable future through free resources and courses and will give you a chance to understand your emissions and provides free tools to help you reduce them.
The Hub is an initiative being run by the United Nations Race to Zero campaign, global non-profit We Mean Business Coalition and the Exponential Roadmap Initiative in collaboration with the carbon accounting platform Normative and the Net Zero team at Oxford University.
By joining the initiative, you will pledge to act to halve your business emissions by 2030, to achieve net zero by 2050 and report on your progress yearly. Elmbridge Borough Council has funding available to help you. Check out the Green Business Boost.
Through this commitment you will be able to showcase your pledge with a recognised SME Climate Hub badge as well as receiving extra support and resources along the way.
In taking the pledge you will give your business the opportunity to:
-
improve efficiency
-
manage climate disruptions better, keeping costs down
-
by reducing exposure to climate-related risks you can in turn make your business more attractive to investors and keep insurance premiums down

This is your chance to become a leader in the fight against climate change, improve your business’s efficiency, gain a competitive advantage, enhance access to capital, grow your business and brand and manage your business risk.
