Elmbridge Museum is inviting the community to take part in a special free ‘Make Do and Mend’ workshop on Saturday 13 September, from 10am to 12pm at the Walton Repair Café, located at the Walton Centre for the Community, Manor Road, Walton KT12 2PB.
Held in support of Second-Hand September, this creative heritage session encourages residents to breathe new life into old clothes, just as people did during WW2, when making do with what you had was a way of life. It’s a chance to learn practical skills, share ideas, and explore how small changes can make a big difference for the environment
Whether you're passionate about sustainability, interested in local history, or simply looking for a friendly and creative morning out, everyone is welcome. Come along, get inspired, and be part of a growing movement to reduce waste and celebrate reuse.
