
Team Elmbridge is still looking for players for its girls football and cricket teams for the Surrey Community Games 2025. We also have a few spaces left for boxing and tennis.
Are you looking for a way to keep your children active and having fun? Our free sports sessions with professional coaches to prepare for the Surrey Community Games are the perfect place to start.
Where and when:
- Girls cricket: school years 7 to 11 - Ashley Park, Walton on Thames, every Wednesday from 18:00 to 19:15, from 30 April to 11 June.
- Girls football: school years 4 to 6 - Xcel Sports Hub, Walton, every Tuesday from 17:00 to 18:00, from 13 May to 24 June.
- Boxing (mixed): school years 8 to 10 - Foley Boxing Club, Imber Court Sports Club, East Molesey, every Thursday from 19:00 to 20:00, from 8 May to 19 June.
- Tennis (mixed): school years 3 and 4 - Elm Grove recreation ground, Walton on Thames, every Tuesday from 17:00 to 18:00, from 13 May to 24 June.

Register your children for the Surrey Community Games for free - 19 March
The Surrey Youth Games have a different approach to get children aged 7 to 16 involved in sports and activities this year.
Elmbridge has teamed up with Runnymede and Spelthorne Borough Councils to introduce the new ‘Surrey Community Games’. The games will still include the free training sessions but there will be smaller festival events in June closer to home to celebrate children’s new skills and allow them to show them off to their friends and family.
If you are looking for something different to keep your children active, learning new skills and making new friends this spring, the Surrey Community Games might be just what you need!
What’s in it for youngsters?
- Learn new sports and take part in group activities for free
- Gain new skills with the help of professional coaches
- Make new friends and have fun!
How does it work?
- Register online from 1 April.
- Attend the training sessions that will kick off after the Easter holiday.
- Continue attending for 6 to 8 weeks.
- Enjoy the experience and celebrate at the festival events in June.
