Try our Wellbeing Walks this autumn

Discover free Wellbeing Walks across Elmbridge this autumn, led by trained volunteers and designed to boost your mood, improve health, explore nature and local history.

7 October 2025
Autumn walk on Esher Common

Autumn is the perfect season to start walking. As the leaves change colour and the scenery changes, every step becomes more enjoyable. Walking is a gentle way to ease back into regular exercise. It boosts heart health, helps lower blood pressure and gradually builds stamina.

Daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly walks

We offer a full programme of walks across Elmbridge with options every day. Many walks start from the same location each week, fortnight or month. This makes it easier to build a routine, especially if you're recovering from injury or have been inactive for a while.

Walking is low impact and helps maintain flexibility without putting strain on your body. It’s also a great way to meet others. Many of our walks include time for a chat and a warm drink afterwards.

Walks for various interests

Some walks focus on nature, history or wellbeing. These include visits to Painshill Park and Claremont Landscape Garden, as well as guided historical walks led by Elmbridge Museum volunteers.

All walks are free, open to everyone and led by trained volunteers. You don’t need to book, except for Painshill and Claremont, where advance booking gives you free access as part of our wellbeing group.
