We want everyone to have the opportunity to get involved if they want to. However, we understand that not everyone can or wants to attend a council organised listening event. People often feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts in familiar settings with those they know.
That's why we're supporting community groups, voluntary organisations, housing associations and schools to host their own listening events.
To help, we've created 2 toolkits:
- Listening Toolkit – for events primarily aimed at adults
- Children and Young People Listening Toolkit – designed for engaging younger participants
There is funding available to help cover the costs of these events and all the information is on the toolkits.
These resources provide guidance on running meaningful conversations that capture valuable insights from your community.
