Grovelands tennis courts temporary closure:
Following vandalism to the Grovelands recreation ground tennis courts, we have made the decision to temporarily close the facilities while we are collecting quotes to carry out repairs and secure the site. We thank you for your patience. We will keep you updated on the repairs and will let you have an estimated time of re-opening as soon as we can.
Tennis courts are available to book for:
- recreational tennis
- single and doubles social play
- one-to-one coaching
- formally organised group activities, including group coaching
You can play for a maximum of 2 hours per day, all year round.
Register for the Park Tennis scheme
Before booking a tennis court, you will need to register for the Parks Tennis scheme.
You can choose the annual pass or the pay as you go option.
Annual pass
With the annual pass:
- pay a £40 annual fee
- can be used by up to 5 household members
- entitles you to play for free for up to 2 hours every day

Pay and play: pay as you go
With pay and play:
- no annual fee
- bookings charged at £5.50 per hour (maximum of up to 2 hours per day)

Book a tennis court
Once you have registered with the Park Tennis scheme and chosen a payment option, you can book a tennis court.
You will need to log into your Club Spark account to book a tennis court.
Once logged in, go to the book a tennis court tab to select a court to book.

You can book to play tennis at any of the council-owned sites:
- Civic Centre
- Churchfields Recreation Ground
- Cobham Recreation Ground
- Coronation Recreation Ground
- Cricket Way Open Space
- Elmgrove Recreation Ground
- Giggs Hill Field
- Grovelands Recreation Ground
- Long Ditton Recreation Ground
- Molesey Hurst Recreation Ground
- Oatlands Recreation Ground
- West End Recreation Ground
We also take bookings from private coaches, but we always make sure that at least one court is left open for public use.
