The 2024 election results for the Runnymede and Weybridge constituency are available from Runnymede Borough Council.
Esher and Walton constituency voter ID data – Parliamentary Election 4 July 2024
Data released for the Esher and Walton constituency shows the number of people who brought ID to the polling station for the UK Parliamentary General Election.
The data shows that 99.99% of electors voting in Esher and Walton polling stations brought photo ID that met voter ID requirements.
Collated figures across the area show 39,181 electors voted at our 55 polling stations in the General Election.
By the end of the voting period on General Election day, five electors who tried to vote in a polling station were not given a ballot paper because they did not meet the voter ID requirements.
The figures also show while 20 electors were initially turned away, 15 returned with acceptable ID and were able to vote. This means 75% of those initially turned away returned and were issued with a ballot paper.
Elmbridge Borough Council supported and amplified The Electoral Commission’s extensive national advertising campaign on the need to bring ID to vote.
Voter ID was also required for the Elmbridge Borough Council elections in May 2023 and May 2024.
The turn out for the Esher and Walton constituency was 73%.
