Support from council services for carers
We provide a range of support services to vulnerable residents, which can help support carers or the people they care for including:
- Elmbridge Dementia Services which runs 3 weekly social clubs that provide care and stimulation for people living with dementia, as well as support groups and social events for their friends and family - see dementia services or call 01372 474 547
- Meals on Wheels which provides a hot lunch service direct to your door, 7 days a week- cold supper and breakfast services can also be provided at an additional cost - see Meals on Wheels
- Elmbridge Community Transport which provides door-to-door accessible transport to appointments, events and venues in the local area, as well as weekly shopping trips and transport to our Centres for the Community and dementia social clubs -see Community Transport
- Our Centres for the Community which offer activities, events and services for adults across the borough - see Centres for the Community (adults with care needs must be accompanied by a carer when visiting a Centre)
- Care and Repair which provides a handyperson service for minor repairs, basic adaptations support with Disabled Facilities Grant applications - see Care and Repair
