There are a range of actions we will undertake to achieve our Vision which are outlined in this document. So many of the things which support the quality of life of our residents also rely on collaboration with other organisations such as central government, Surrey County Council, local businesses, community safety partners, NHS bodies, voluntary sector and faith organisations, as well as our communities and residents themselves.
In this Vision, we have set out what we believe is important for our residents and our future success. In doing so, we look to guide, influence and direct others that support local services in the area as to what we are aiming to achieve, so that we can work together in the same direction. We will actively seek to nurture our connections with those who will help to achieve the best for our residents.

Other partners
We have very close partnerships with those from our vibrant voluntary, community and faith sectors (VCFS) within the borough because they are vital in helping our residents who are in need and fostering the strong sense of community spirit found throughout the borough. Woking with the VCFS has been essential in supporting people through the rising cost of living, making sure that support is targeted to those who need it most.
Surrey Police is a key partner, as they are primarily responsible for keeping those who live and work in the borough safe. However, the council also has responsibilities for the safety of its residents too. Therefore, working with Surrey Police to deliver community safety initiatives is paramount to achieving our vision.
Integrated Care Partnerships, which are run jointly by the NHS and Surrey County Council, are a broad alliance of partners who all have a role in improving local health, care and wellbeing. We want to improve the wellbeing of our residents so support the work of the partnerships to ensure the best outcomes through a joined-up approach.
We work with partners to make sure new affordable homes are built in Elmbridge, to help meet the needs of local people who cannot afford to rent or buy in the private market.
